The spy photos have anticipated the presentation, which will probably be at EICMA, of the new Honda Transalp, meanwhile other patent designs have emerged that add some more information on the next road enduro.

No.and we wrote in early September, when the awaited new Honda Transalp was accidentally photographed in the Alps while promotional material was being prepared for the official presentation. A few photos from a distance, however, which allowed us to see the salient aesthetic characteristics and to read the name and displacement: Transalp 750.
The name of the bike, which has been talked about for a long time, was registered in August in Japan: XL750 Transalp .

the Honda Hornet 750 was presented at Intermot and a few more pieces were added. Above all, the characteristics of the new two-cylinder in-line forward-facing engine that will also equip the Transalp were known and the possible commercial positioning was understood.
In other words, Honda most likely - if it credibly adopts the same strategy as the Hornet 750 - will have a competitive price with the Yamaha Ténéré 700 while being able to offer twenty more horsepower.

Some patent drawings that have been filed by Honda allow us to know something more about what the Transalp 750 will be like, a bike that could be presented to the public at the upcoming EICMA . If so, and if it's going to be a 2023 model, we'll find out soon.

What the drawings show is the strong relationship not only with the engine but also with the design of the main frame structure. We remind you that the Hornet 750 is equipped with a 755 cc with eight valve cylinder head and Unicam distribution control (as on the Africa Twin engine from which it also takes the 270 ° crankshaft) credited with the power of 92 horsepower at 9,500  rpm and the maximum torque of 75 Nm at 7,250 rpm. Performance that would put the Transalp 750 in competition even with models of the 850-900 class.

According to the patent drawings, the frame seems very similar to that of the Hornet but with a different dimensioning of the steel parts that compose it .

The headlight looks the same as the Hornet and very similar to the Honda CB500X , there would be nothing strange in sharing a component that has become more expensive over time. According to the same principle, the same TFT instrumentation , equipped with connectivity, and the same electrical controls as the Hornet are to be expected.

The drawings clearly show the profile of the side panels of the front fairing and the air passages towards the intake air-box.
Also note the single radiator of the cooling circuit, and another drawing shows the rear position of the relative expansion tank, located in the attachment area of the swingarm.
The Transalp 750 will have a 21-inch front end - like the historic models up to the 700 series - and an 18 -inch rear wheel like the Africa Twin 1000 and 1100.
