Police in North Wales have launched a crackdown on dangerous riders. The business was called Blue Takeoff. Police claim that many citizens complain of dangerous motorcycle riding on sidewalks and minor side streets.

Police Inspector Matt Subacchi said Operation Blue Takeoff targets motorcyclists who ride illegally to prevent injury to both the riders themselves and other road users. Off-road motorcycles in particular, the Inspector continued, are a real danger to the public as well as to the riders themselves. We understand the concern they cause in local communities and will continue our efforts to stop this anti-social behaviour.

Operation Blue Takeoff involves the police team on off-road motorcycles to track down those driving illegally at the same time as the team operating the special drones, which are difficult to detect from the ground. The operation is ongoing, while the police are stationed at 13 points, stopping motorcyclists and informing them about road safety issues. The police believe that the only way to tackle dangerous driving is to identify offenders with the help of new technologies. The motorcycles will be confiscated and will not be returned, the police announcement concludes.
