Despite the Yamaha XSR700 being one of the most stunning retro-style motorcycles now available, Deus Ex Machina managed to make it appear even better.

The custom shop from Australia has just debuted "The Forager," their interpretation of Yamaha's fashionable two-wheeler. However, Deus Ex Machina did more than simply redesign the bike. It also upgraded the hardware, creating a bike that feels genuinely one-of-a-kind.

The custom shop from Australia has just debuted "The Forager," their interpretation of Yamaha's fashionable two-wheeler. However, Deus Ex Machina did more than simply redesign the bike. It also upgraded the hardware, creating a bike that feels genuinely one-of-a-kind.

Jeremy Tagand, the creator of Deus Ex Machina, created The Forager. The bike's owner, Ty, had first given him instructions to replace the lighting system and add a green and gold livery that was reminiscent of Formula 1. But he didn't stop there. The bike now features a fresh paint job, a 7-inch LED headlamp, and micro-LED indicators in addition to a SW-Motech alloy front fender, JVB Moto fork gaiters, and a single-seat saddle made by Yamaha with ribbed leather upholstery. A Purpose Built Moto switch gear, a Motogadet speedometer, and Biltwell handlebars with Motogadet grips have been been included to the completely redesigned cockpit.

The 42-cubic-inch parallel-twin four-stroke engine that powers this custom build still produces 74 horsepower and 50 ft lbs of torque, but it also has a stainless-steel exhaust system from the SC-Project Conic 70 and a new radiator guard. A set of Alpina Raggi wheels mounted with Pirelli MT60RS tyres completes the package.

You cannot buy a copy of The Forager because it is a unique piece. But you're in luck if you like what you see. You can use a number of the components Deus Ex Machina is selling on its website to assemble a unique Yamaha XSR700 of your own.
