All new MACBOR EIGHT MILE 500 Spanish-Chinese retro bikes is up now take a look. If you look closely, you will recognize the 500 twin from the Brixton or Voge models. The Macbor Eight Mile 500 is available in two versions from just under 6,300 euros.

Looks like a Brixton, confirmed colleague Baumann when looking at the Eight Mile 500 from Macbor. And not only visually, the Chinese from Spain comes very close to the Austrian Chinese Brixton Crossfire. Technically, the genes can be clearly seen. Whether a clone or a copy - you don't know. In any case, the motor housing of the 500 twin from Macbor looks as if it came from the same matrix as the drives of the Voge 500 and Brixton Crossfire .

A2 twin with 47 hp

From 471 cubic meters, the Eight Mile's Macbor twin gets 47 hp at 8,500 tours and 43 Nm at 6,500 rpm. This power is enough to accelerate the retro motorcycle to 175 km / h. These data are very familiar from the engine of the Voge and differ from those of the Brixton: It is specified with 483 cubic centimeters of displacement. Macbor specifies a consumption of 3.9 liters per 100 kilometers for the Euro 5 configuration of the twin, which theoretically brings a range of 461 kilometers with an 18 liter tank capacity.

Road or terrain

Macbor offers the Eight Mile 500 in two versions: The Street and Scrambler models are based on the same chassis and are driven by the same engine. When it comes to the chassis, the two differ fundamentally. The Street rolls on 18-inch tires at the front and 17 inches at the rear, while the Scrambler has 19-inch tires at the front and 17-inch tires at the rear, each with a single-sided swing arm. The Scrambler books cross-spoke rims as a bonus. A look at the spring elements reveals further differences: The Scrambler sets a brand with fully adjustable elements from Kayaba with 195 millimeters of spring travel at the front and 200 millimeters at the rear. The Street also leads Kayaba into the field, but without being adjustable and with shorter suspension travel (155 mm at the front, 165 mm at the rear). The Street and Scrambler are braked by floating Nissin saddles and the obligatory ABS.

Two models, two prices

The big differences in the chassis have a direct impact on the price. The Scrambler costs 6,599 euros, the Street changes teams for 6,299 euros. Compared to the aforementioned relatives of Voge and Brixton, courses are very comparable.

Macbor has chosen itself with a history of almost 40 years and, most recently, with the water-cooled Twins in two models, which complement the existing motorcycles with air-cooled single up to 125 cubic meters. Technology and optics are similar to well-known models by Voge and Brixton. Macbor only operates in the Spanish market.
