Benelli Leoncino 800 Trail is a motorcycle with a versatile attitude, characterized by a 19-inch front wheel and a double high exhaust. The new model can be seen at EICMA , the International Two-wheeler Exhibition, together with other interesting innovations such as the compact Benelli Leoncino 125 and the new TKR 800.

Announcements

The new Leoncino 125 is a compact powered by a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder 125 cc four-stroke engine, featuring electronic injection with a 28 mm diameter throttle body, wet clutch and six-speed gearbox. Power reaches 12.8 hp (9.4 kW) at 9,500 rpm with 10 Nm (1.0 kgm) of torque at 8,500 rpm.

The Benelli Leoncino 800 Trail has characteristics that bring it closer to the panorama of off-road motorcycles, for example a high windshield in the front area above the full led headlight, with the connotative arched light motif of the Leoncino overview. The sections are sculpted in particular in the area of ​​the steel tank, as on the road 800, always with a stylistic element of the arch with two tank bumpers, in addition to the aforementioned new and specific double high and side exhaust, up to the number plate and heat shield always located laterally. From an aesthetic point of view, the symbol of the Lion on the front fender can also be seen.

The Trail model is also characterized by a TFT screen instrumentation with a seat designed to promote comfort and below this an aluminum side panel designed to embed the Leoncino logo. The saddle is placed at a height of 834 millimeters , compared to the 805 millimeters of the road. The specimen is proposed in gray and green colors .

Technique

In comparison with the road model, work was done on the chassis to tackle even the most demanding stretches. It has a tubular trellis frame with steel plates and the suspension part is constituted in the front area by a Marzocchi up-side down fork with 50 mm diameter stanchions, adjustable in rebound, compression and preload, with 148 mm of travel compared to the 140mm of the road. In the rear area there is a swingarm with central mono adjustable in spring preload and hydraulic brake in extension, with wheel travel increased to 140 mm.

The Brembo braking system, also located on the Leoncino 800, is made up of a double 320 mm semi-floating front discin diameter with a four-piston radial monobloc caliper, then a 260 mm diameter rear disc with dual-piston caliper.
The model also features a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel that fit 120/70 and 170/60 knobby tires.
For some markets, a new version has also been added, equipped with a suspension department and a braking system signed by Benelli, as reported.


Motor

The engine is a liquid-cooled, 754 cc four-stroke twin engine, which also drives the Benelli Leoncino 800. An engine with double overhead camshaft distribution, 4 valves per cylinder and double throttle body with a 43 mm diameter. There is also a clutch with torque assist and slipper function in an oil bath and a six-speed gearbox.
Power reaches 76.2 horsepower (56 kW) at 8,500 rpm with 67 Nm (6.8 kgm) of torque at 6,500 rpm.


Availability

The model will be offered in Benelli dealerships starting from spring 2022 .
